How to Enjoy:
The homestead - erected in 1816 – is full of magnificently restored period rooms, original paintings and a room dedicated to the history of the Granger Place School, a private girls school that occupied the site between 1876 and 1906. The Carriage Museum at the back of the property displays almost 70 horse-drawn vehicles showing the history of 19th century transportation in western New York.

Down the street from Granger Homestead is the Ontario County Historical Museum, which offers many educational programs and exhibits dedicated to the history of Western New York.
Trivia:
Did you know that Gideon Granger was a staunch supporter of Thomas Jefferson, and when Jefferson was elected president in 1800, Granger was named Postmaster General?
